Volunteers
Thank you for offering to be a volunteer at St. Malachy School! Whether you are helping in the lunchroom, supporting a classroom party, or chaperoning a field trip, we appreciate your help!
To promote the safety of all students and staff, all school volunteers must be up to date on the Safe Environment training and the volunteer code of conduct forms.
SAFE ENVIRONMENT TRAINING
You can access the course here: https://peoria.cmgconnect.org/. This training module will also prompt you for consent for a background check. There is a small fee for the background check; you can either pay this or have the Diocese pay it.
Once you have completed your Safe Environment training, please send a copy of your certificate to the school office (schooloffice@stmalgeneseo.org) via e-mail or backpack mail.
VOLUNTEER CODE OF CONDUCT
Please print and sign the following forms, then return them to the school office:
To review the policies listed in the Verification Statement, please click on the documents below.
All training and forms must be turned in prior to volunteering.
POLICY CHANGE (August 2026)
Please note that we have a policy change about bringing younger children to the school while volunteering:
To ensure a safe, secure, and orderly environment for all, parent volunteers may not bring infants, toddlers, preschool-aged children, or other children who are not currently enrolled and attending school during the regular school day while serving as volunteers.
Volunteering requires a volunteer's full attention to assigned responsibilities. The presence of non-enrolled children may limit a volunteer's ability to supervise students, maintain confidentiality, respond to emergencies, and carry out assigned duties effectively.
