Middle School Youth Ministry Happenings

Retreat

The 7th & 8th Grade Retreat scheduled for April 3-4 has been cancelled.  My heart aches that this needed to happen but the safety of your families and extended families is paramount at this time.  Please pray that God will deliver us from this pandemic soon, pray too, for those that are sick already and that this world will be able to work together to support each other in love and peace.

Blessings,

Debbie Mattan

POPE FRANCIS’ PRAYER
TO MOTHER MARY,
HEALTH OF THE SICK
AGAINST COVID-19.

O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick.
At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain,
with steadfast faith.
You, Salvation of the Roman People/of all People, know what we need.
We are certain that you will provide, so that,
as you did at Cana of Galilee,
joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love,
to conform ourselves to the Father’s will
and to do what Jesus tells us:
He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us,
through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.
We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God.
Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.

Amen

Scripture/Prayer of the Week

Scripture:

Create a pure heart in me, O God, and put a new and loyal spirit in me. Psalm 51:10

Prayer:

Father God,

We give you praise, honor and glory!  Give us a pure heart and help us to look away from the garbage that the world throws at us every day.  Lord, we need the graces you have for us, the strength to say, "no" at times, the will to look away from the things that this world glorifies and look to you the King of Glory!  So, Father God, we ask you for that new and loyal spirit as we strive during this Lenten season to do your will more and more.

Amen
